Scroll through the camera roll of almost any stylist, barber or nail artist and you will find proof of how good they are. A balayage that came out perfectly. A crisp taper. A set of nails with fine hand-painted detail. Most of these photos never go further than a story that disappears the next day.
Collecting the best of them on a web page has a lasting effect. A potential client who searches for a colourist in Leslieville or a barber on the Danforth can look through your work in one scroll, see your style and decide whether to book. It does not replace social media, which is great for showing what is new, but it gives your best work a permanent home that does not depend on an app's feed.
How to choose
Pick six to ten photos. Show a range: short and long hair, different textures, different nail shapes. Add a caption saying what was done, such as colour, cut or finish. If a client appears in a photo, ask permission first.
Add your hours, location and a booking route, and you are most of the way there. Making a free page takes about as long as picking the pictures.
